Jakarta International College

The JIC Field Trip 2025 created an unforgettable atmosphere in the Green Forest Bogor Hotel & Resort on November 21–22, transforming the space into a vibrant environment filled with learning, teamwork, and genuine connection. Over the two days, international students came together for a journey that blended leadership development with adventure, laughter, and shared memories that will stay with them long after the trip ended. The atmosphere throughout the two days was filled with laughter, discovery, and a sense of togetherness that made the entire experience even more memorable.

Workshops and Learning Activities

The trip began with a Digital Marketing Workshop by Ms. Putri Sarah Olivia, who discussed Real-World Challenges in the Digital Era.

Her session covered how businesses today compete online before they ever compete offline, and how digital content now influences nearly 74% of purchase decisions. She emphasized that attention is the new currency, and that young people must master:

  • Content creation strategies (5W+1H)
  • Brand storytelling
  • Short-form video trends
  • Using tools like ChatGPT, Google Trends, CapCut, and Canva
  • SEO, local SEO, and platform preferences
  • AI enhancement tools (voiceovers, music, visuals)
  • Ethical challenges around AI-generated content

Students also enjoyed a lively interactive activity called “Headline of the Day,” where they whipped up catchy 6-word headlines using their creativity and teamwork in real time. This workshop really helped students grasp today’s fast-paced digital world and how to shine with content that’s effective, ethical, and engaging. The room was buzzing with creativity as students explored ideas, shared their thoughts, and brought their unique voices to the table.

On the second day, Mr. Chandra Susanto led a Social Development Session that focused on personal and interpersonal growth. He covered important topics like:

  • Self-awareness
  • Empathy and understanding others
  • Communication skills (active listening, giving/receiving feedback)
  • Collaboration and team dynamics
  • Common challenges such as FOMO, the digital comparison culture, and academic pressure

His session encouraged students to think beyond just achievements and remember the importance of emotional intelligence, compassion, and community as they grow into young adults.

Team Building and Outdoor Challenges

We especially want to thank the JIC team and event organizers for their amazing planning and coordination, which made everything run smoothly and joyfully. A highlight of the field trip was the eight team-building games designed by the event manager. These activities really encouraged teamwork, communication, and leadership through fun and friendly competition.

Some of the games included:

  • Giant Volleyball - a high-energy challenge that tested coordination and quick thinking.
  • Rubber Circle Pass - a fun game of moving a ring through linked hands without breaking the chain.
  • Floor-Is-Lava Mat Relay - a strategic game where students raced to the finish line while working together.

With laughter echoing across the field and students cheering for their teams, these games became one of the most memorable parts of the entire trip.

Talent Show and Evening Activities

The evening was all about the Talent Show, where students from all over showed off their creative talents! We had:

  • Dance performances
  • Drama and short theatrical plays
  • Live singing and music acts
  • Creative group showcases

Day 2: Exercise, Breakfast, and Closing

The second day kicked off with a morning exercise session, helping students wake up and get energized with some simple stretches and movement. Being surrounded by fresh mountain air, everyone was fully awake, refreshed, and ready to take on the day.

After breakfast and the final workshop, the closing ceremony wrapped up the trip with heartfelt thanks to all participants and organizers who made it such a memorable experience.

The energy was electric, with lots of applause and cheers for everyone’s hard work.
