Drucker as the father of business studies that dated the study of economics and business back to the 19th and even 18th century. As one of the oldest disciplines, it is not surprising that some business schools are a century old or even older.

Today, let’s talk about the oldest business schools in the world.

  1. ESCP Business School (1819)

    ESCP Business School is a European school of management with campuses in Paris, Berlin, London, Madrid, Turin, and Warsaw. It was established in Paris on 1 December 1819 by Germain Legret and Amédée Brodart. ESCP Business school is one of the best in Europe, and its graduate school is ranked top 10 in the world. Its notable alumni include the founder of Danone, Antoine Riboud.


  2. Wharton School of Business – University of Pennsylvania (1881)

    Wharton is a part of the University of Pennsylvania, a private Ivy League university located in Philadelphia. Established in 1881, it is known as the USA’s oldest collegiate school of business and is currently ranked 5th in the US (Forbes). Its notable alumni include Elon Musk, Warren Buffett, and Ivanka Trump.


  3. Harvard Business School (1908)

    Harvard Business School is a  graduatebusiness school of Harvard University in Boston,  It is established in 1908 and is consistently ranked top 10 in the USA and the world. Its notable alumni include Mike Bloomberg, George W. Bush, and Michael Porter.
