Jakarta International College

Dear JIC Family,

On Monday, March 25th, 2024, we welcomed a visit from one of our longstanding university partners, the University of San Francisco, represented by Ms. Krittaya Pichitnapakul, the Assistant Director of International Admission. During this visit, our admission team received a debriefing from Ms. Krittaya on various offers, the scholarship system, and the entry requirements for transferring to USF.

The second session was dedicated to students currently enrolled in our American Degree Program and planning to study in the USA. Ms. Krittaya shared insights, including details about the up to $16,000 USD scholarship available to transferring students. This merit-based scholarship is particularly exciting as it has no quota, meaning there's no limit to the number of recipients each year. Additionally, it continues until students finish their studies at USF. Although the scholarship requires students to achieve a certain GPA before transfer to receive it, it doesn't enforce a GPA requirement to maintain.

USF, situated in the bustling city of San Francisco, has long been a partner of JIC. It is renowned as one of the best universities in California and excels in sports as well. Another highlight of USF is its recent ranking as #1 in ethnic diversity among national universities, ensuring a diverse and enriching learning experience.

Lastly, students planning to study in the USA can join USF through JIC’s American Degree program, starting in Indonesia for two years before transferring to USF to graduate. This pathway offers cost savings on tuition fees and living costs, along with better preparation for international study.

We extend our gratitude to Ms. Krittaya for visiting our campus and look forward to a successful partnership ahead.

Thank you, and stay tuned for the next update.

Warm regards,
