Jakarta International College

(JIC) Welcomes Students and Parents to the MUFY Orientation Program 2025

22 January 2025 – Hey there! The Jakarta International College (JIC) orientation program for the Monash University Foundation Year (MUFY) is finally here! Get ready for a two-day adventure that’ll prepare you and your parents for an exciting academic journey, especially if you’re planning to study abroad. We want everyone to feel welcome and ready to conquer the challenges of studying in an international environment.

Day one starts with registration, where you’ll get your photo ID and take a tour of our campus. This is a great chance to check out all the amazing facilities JIC has to offer, which will help you ace your studies. Parents and students will also hear an inspiring speech from Ms. Kiandra Susanto and get a warm welcome from Ms. Fransisca Laij. This will set the stage for a supportive and nurturing environment, whether you’re studying locally or abroad in the future.

After lunch, Mr. David Henderson will give you an academic orientation to help you understand what to expect in your MUFY classes. This is super important for students who are about to start international higher education, especially those who are hoping to study abroad at Monash University. The day ends with you getting your course books, so you’re all set to start this new chapter.

Day two is all about getting you ready for success in your studies. The day starts with the Mathematics Placement Test, which will help you figure out where you’ll start in the MUFY program. Later, Ms. Bella Armelia will host a session about what it’s like to study at a university, with a special focus on preparing for the challenges and opportunities of studying abroad. To end on a fun note, you’ll get to participate in team-building activities and games, which will help you make friends and build a sense of community.

This orientation program is all about giving you the tools and confidence you need to succeed in your studies, whether you’re staying in Indonesia or taking the plunge to study abroad. See you at JIC!
