Some brands such as Louis Vuitton, Giorgio Armani, and Christian Dior are famous for being luxury brands that target more mature customers and are also known for their quality products. With the rise of streetwear brands such as Supreme, Offwhite, and Comme Des Garcons, luxury brands are also starting to aim for younger generations. One of the efforts made by these brands is through collaboration with famous streetwear brands.

Today, we will talk about some of the most iconic collaborations between brands.

  1. VESPA EMPORIO ARMANI VESPA AND DIOR.

Vespa officially introduced the Vespa 946, Emporio Armani. This collaboration marks the 40th anniversary of the founding of Giorgio Armani and the 130th anniversary of the Piaggio Group. This collaboration scooter of two legendary Italian fashion icons is a special edition of the Vespa 946. This Vespa was priced at One hundred ninety-six million Rupiahs when it was launched in 2015.

After their successful collaboration with Armani, Vespa collaborated with Christian Dior to launch 946 Special Editions. There is a unique fact behind this collaboration; Vespa and Christian Dior were actually both founded in 1946. This collaboration is also a special edition celebrating the 75th anniversary of the founding of Vespa and Christian Dior. Vespa 946 Christian Dior was designed by Maria Grazia Chiuri, a Creative Director of women's clothing at Dior. Unique colours with great details and Livery using the typical Paris Fashion House motifs make this motorbike look so magnificent and with a glamorous style. This Vespa will be produced in Italy, but the price is not yet still unknown. But with the Dior motif, which is famous for its luxury, the price of this Vespa will undoubtedly be very high.

If you look at some of the Vespa collaborations with these brands, you can see that Vespa is collaborating to celebrate the anniversary of the Vespa and the anniversary of the Brand. The partnership is intended to celebrate the success of the two brands. Vespa has many fans, and the fans of Vespa will hunt for these products. The limited number of product and people's excitement over it will definitely make Vespa prices high. For example, the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani was sold for 196 million. While in the automotive.com article in the year, 2019 states that one of the Instagram accounts @bisaboy sold a Vespa 946, Emporio Armani, for 500 million rupiahs. It can be ascertained that the Vespa 946 Dior price will be higher than the initial product price.

  2. LOUIS VUITTON X SUPREME AND ADIDAS X PRADA

The world of Fashion was stirred up by the collaboration of 2 fashion brands that have different styles; the brand is Luis Vuitton (LV) and Supreme. LV comes from Paris, France, and generally, LV produces luxury goods such as bags, clothes, footwear. Meanwhile, Supreme comes from New York, United States, and Supreme usually creates streetwear, bags, clothes and equipment for playing Skate Board. According to an article from Kincir.com, "the idea for this collaboration came from Louis Vuitton's CEO, Michael Burke. Louis Vuitton's Art-Style Director, Kim Jones, explained that Burke was enthusiastic about collaborating with Supreme. According to him, Burke asked for suggestions on the idea of this collaboration and asked him to get in touch with Supreme founder James Jebbia so that Burke could speak directly about the idea". As we know, products from the collaboration between LV and Supreme are costly.

The collaboration of Luxury Brands is also carried out by Adidas and Prada. To celebrate Adidas' 50th anniversary, Adidas is working with a fashion brand from Italy. In this product collaboration, Adidas and Prada issued an all-white concept. They present sneakers and bags. What makes it interesting is that this collaboration will only have 700 pieces worldwide. According to Prada, the limited-edition set is meant to honour timeless silhouettes and the raw simplicity that gave both brands their name. Adidas and Prada make bags, and the bag is called the Bowling Bag, the bag is made of white leather and features the Prada and Adidas Originals logos.

The luxury brand collaboration above is exciting, where LV and Supreme made people surprised because they were considered to have different fashion styles. Adidas and Prada issued a very limited product. Even though these brands are 'luxury brands' and they are costly, many people are very interested and want to own these products.

  3. H&M X GIAMBATTISTA VALLI AND BALMAIN

collaboration between H&M and Giambattista Valli.  Giambattista Valli is a fashion designer. He is famous for her expertise in making beautiful and luxurious dresses; he is also a favourite designer of well-known celebrities. Famous celebrities such as Kendall Jenner, Chiara Ferragni, Bianca Brandolini, Chris Lee, and Ross Lynch were seen wearing the Giambattista Valli x H&M collection for the first time. Reportedly, some of the H&M x Giambattista Valli collections were sold out at selected H&M boutiques and online sites in just a few minutes.

Previously in 2015, H&M also collaborated with other designers, namely Olivier Rousteing, Creative Director for Balmain. Since its establishment in 1945, Balmain is a reasonably exclusive fashion house and does not create clothing for retailers. So, this collaboration is quite surprising. According to an article from fimela.com Olivier, Rousteing was invited to collaborate with H&M by telephone. For the latest collection, H&M collaborates with Balmain to create a fashion design that still has Balmain's trademark, but the price is quite affordable for H&M consumers. At the 2015 Billboard Music Award, Olivier Rousteing introduced the H&M x Balmain collection on the red carpet, Kendall Jenner and Jourdan Dunn using the design of the product.

Collaboration in the fashion world is exciting, especially what H&M is doing, H&M collaborates with famous designers to make their products even more attractive. Not only that, even though they collaborate with renowned designers who often design clothes for top artists, H&M keeps the price of their clothes affordable. That's why when people saw the H&M collaboration with famous designers it was quite surprising

We will pay homage to both brands' rich iconography and draw inspiration from our heritage." Said Martin Lotti, Jordan Brand VP of Design. Reportedly, Dior shoes are only available 8,500 pairs worldwide.

Collaboration with Famous brands was also carried out by Converse. Converse has successfully collaborated with other brands before; Converse is back to collaborating with famous brands that are no less good; they collaborated with COMME des Garcons (CDG). CDG is a brand that was founded by Rei Kawakubo in Japan in 1973. The first collaboration between CDG and Converse was the Converse Chuck Taylor All-Star, the shoes were black and white, which made it look classic. After That, CDG and Converse collaboration highlighted the concept of Filip Pagowski's signature Comme des Garcons heart-shaped logo. The price of these shoes is quite affordable compared to other street style fashion.

A brand certainly wants to create something new; they are collaborating with famous brands; of course, they want to increase the interest of sneakers hunters. What makes these items unique is, of course, the Limited Number of item. This price can be higher because the goods are only sold in a few in the world. Collaboration like that is what often happens in the world of brands

Those are some of the most iconic brand collaborations. With the younger generations rising up more in society and becoming the biggest customer market to date, it is understandable that some luxury brands are starting to aim for younger audiences.
